"Don't hit me with them negative waves so early in the morning." "Why don't you knock it off with them Negative Waves! Why don't dig how beautiful it is out here. Why can't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change" "Always with the negative waves, always with the Negative waves."
Gaius being, well, Gaius.
Gaius when he was a member of a Mercenary group in Texas. \ Gaius, being Gaius some more.
Stands six foot three inches.
Gaius, otherwise known as "Cal" to everyone else, which to him seems preferable, is a mercenary. He has given up on settling down and raising a family, and has instead, for the time being, decided to finish his job, and avenge his sisters death, then maybe he'll have time... He seems to have become unreasonably cheery lately, and his demeanor is over all more pleasant. He handles his weapons and tools like they're part of him, and is a thoroughly dangerous man. Very prone to killing misogynistic sacks of shit with severe brutality. Does not tolerate slavers, raiders, super mutants (for the most part), cowards, scum, thieves, gloryhounds, liars, cheats, murderers, rapists, fools, drunks, drug addicts, and various others. Heavy sense of duty to friends and family, and enduring patience for their mistakes and downfalls, and only theirs. He particularly loves to party, as long as it's somewhat clean and not committing any injustices, though he has fallen from grace many times, he always brings himself back up to standard.
Refusing to let himself fall into a depression, he does not mention Mona, or his parents, he stays silent about his failures and misfortunes, and only uses them as references of what not to do, instead of spinning a sob story and letting himself fall into laziness. He maintains a cheerful outlook on things, even when he's in a fight, and always tries to assist his fellow warriors. He has faith in his future, and would, in his own opinion, be a very good father, but this has yet to be tested, and should be disregarded until further testing.
He's slowly changed since the Ship, and the simulation. Sophia's actions made him a little harder, a little meaner then he used to be. Not necessarily changing his over-all personality, but he's certainly more goal-oriented and will fight to his last breath to win this war, doing it all for Mona and Linda.
Disillusioned and world weary after the death of Graham and his capture...he has since been drinking on a regular basis, a little too much. He's stopped wearing shirts under his Jacket, showing off his hairy, slightly scarred chest, but mostly because it's ungodly hot in the Mojave.
He's also developed a unique shooting style, in which he wields a pistol in each hand, his GSR typically in his left and his Smith and Wesson/other handguns in the right, the GSR is indisposable, but the other pistols are used while he reloads the GSR, holding it in his teeth, and he cycles between the .38 and .32
A leather jacket, it's pocket is big enough to fit a large frame revolver in, which he does quite often, his .38 backup, along with twelve loose, lightly greased .38 rounds. The inside has magazine pouches in it, and his side pockets have pouches for magazines.
Heavy rip-stop cargo pants, fit well.
Paratrooper/Engineer Boots, Size Twelve
His specially made GSR engraved "The Fastback Nightmare", extremely accurate in the right hands and extremely dependable, Generally carried on his left hip. In untrained and smaller hands, seems to have excessively hard recoil. It's chambered in .45 ACP, but is more than strong enough to fire a +P+ load and show no wear or tear from repeated usage, can even handle .45 Super. Light trigger pull. The gun cannot accept a silencer and the bobbed grip fits his hands well, as well as making it impossible for the butt of the gun to snag. In short, it's a hell of a piece, and it's perfect for Cal's shooting style. Typically loaded with a heavy SWC bullet with a heavy load of powder behind it, pushing it out at a good clip of around 950± feet per second.
The holster for the aforementioned GSR, worn low on his left hip. He carries plenty of ammo with the pistol, and stocks up on it constantly, whether by theft, looting or bartering, he keeps the beast fed.
Old Patinated Smith and Wesson M&P, Carried in his jacket pocket with it's remaining ammo, 18 .38 shells, six of which are in the chamber at all times. Lightly engraved "Bang!" by a professional on the cylinder above each chamber. Seems to be in good condition, but the greasy Semi Wad-cutter shells look questionable, definitely hand loaded, they are very front heavy, and hinted to be loaded with a ridiculous amount of powder and special oxidation agents to make it burn just that bit hotter.
His .32 caliber Llama pistol, unremarkable quality, but reliable enough, he usually runs the hottest loads he can find, not bothering to handload them. Usually stashed in a boot holster.
